The policy difference buyers can miss
XLaserlab: what the current US policy says
The X1 Pro product page currently advertises a 30-day return window, 60-day qualified hardware exchange and one-year warranty. The detailed US policy says X1/X1 Pro machines that have already performed laser welding, cleaning or cutting are not accepted for non-defect returns. It also lists tiered service fees of 8%, 11% and 15% for eligible non-defective returns depending on timing.
xTool MetalFab: what to verify
xTool's US MetalFab product page currently shows a 12-month warranty, 14-day return policy and ships-in-3–5-business-days message. The MetalFab warranty support page states 12 months for main components for US non-deposit customers and one free laser-module replacement within that period. Because xTool publishes special MetalFab after-sales conditions in regional policies, verify the exact US return language at checkout before you run the machine.
Our buying rule
Before paying, save a PDF or screenshot of the policy that applies to your order, confirm whether freight/oversize return costs are deducted, and ask in writing whether using the machine on a sample piece affects your non-defect return right.
Frequently asked questions
Why does return policy matter more for a laser welder?
These are high-ticket machines and some merchants restrict non-defect returns after laser processing has occurred.
Should I rely on a policy summarized on a comparison site?
No. Use the comparison to identify the question, then verify the live manufacturer policy that applies to your region and order before purchase.
