xTool lists the 800W model up to 4 mm stainless/carbon steel, 3 mm aluminum and 3 mm brass. The 1200W model is listed up to 5 mm steel, 4 mm aluminum and 4 mm brass. xTool also positions 800W as compact with a built-in wire feeder and 1200W as larger with an external feeder.

Price gap

US MSRP shown during launch research was $4,699 for 800W and $7,999 for 1200W, although promotions can materially change the checkout price.

Which one fits?

  • Choose 800W if most work is at or below its material range and portability matters.
  • Choose 1200W if the added published thickness or production headroom is part of your weekly workload.
